Delete Branch "%!s()"
Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
Like
git
, the history should not be an issue, even if I am unsure if gcrypt supports current state complexity clone without history.+13
Chromium helps maybe a bit as far as I experience compared to Firefox on my Linux Mint 22.1 Cinnamon Framework 13. However, the editing experience is globally horrible as it takes literally seconds just to move cursor, showing adding a link/math formula prompt...
Maybe it is due to previous images being present, if there is any after Google migration.
File > Make a copy could help, but then except if provide a new link to the copy, then the history would be gone to this specific document instance. If people ask, I can provide them if they want.
File > History:
... tooltip is Load more history.
The copy Properties are:
so it does not contain the history.
Export just proposes
.html
,.md
and.doc
, so nothing supporting history as far as I know.Related to Benjamin_Loison/LibreOffice_Writer/issues/14.
Searching history and download in upstream issues and pull requests (including closed ones) do not seem to help based on their titles, I checked the content of some and it does not help.
Should search export and copy as well they provide more results.
Could leverage Selenium.
See the message I sent https://matrix.to/#/!50jN0sbkQM2Vv0Zp2nMk7uMJF1jusDIn26Sae1o_ZBQ/$5PoVYKNnO29IyKtPj60S5P7kNFNmKByM6vyUx8QO37o.
Could search other support platforms.

So an alternative is for me to use a copy without history and mention the new link in the old document.
Making the document read-only with a toggle would prevent me using it.
Well even on the copy I have almost the same slowdown.
I start believing that it loads the whole file and mine starts being too big.
An alternative would be to make a new document when it starts being too slow, but this is not very clean.
Could change the document after each usage, but this is quite cumbersome.
Using a folder it may fine especially thanks to template being a feature.
Make a copy
Note My title.
Such Make a copy is nice to have a shared template, even if I guess that can share templates as well, but this would need a specific URL.
Can specify template in the file name to make it clear as may have unclear placeholders that people may find weird otherwise.
To easily have multiple files, can select folder and Download, however this forces HTML as if selected a single file. With Selenium could Export each file as
.md
or.doc
.
