Pattern Noise DSNU and PRNU - Learn mentions a typical front-illuminated CMOS.

On the Sensor Pattern Noise Estimation in Image Forensics: A Systematic Empirical Evaluation.pdf#page=3 mentions:

PRNU fingerprint has also been used in scanner identifications

with my home one it seems clearer how to have clean results. Note that if do not scan an opaque uniform thing then may scan scanner background being possibly noisy. Note that my home scanner light is located on the scanner bar itself.
